It is impossible to get out of your contract and they know it. The are always nice when they want you to sign it. If your life changes and you need to get out of it you can't under any circumstances. This is when they start referring you to the billing department and will not even discuss your contract at the club. They know you are stuck. The clubs are usually owned by someone who owns several and has nothing to do with how they are run. They hire a manager/ fitness coordinator or both a manager and fitness coordinator. They have no policies as far as hiring instructors or any kind of policies in place for their members. It is really up to the manager how the club is run. The clubs are usually filthy expecially the daycare, spa and tanning beds (eek!!). If you have a concern about anything the employees are usually defensive and do nothing to help you. They can do this because they know you are binded to pay them no matter whether you are a happy member or a dissatisfied member. The daycares are super small with all ages mixed together in one small area. The daycare employees sit and talk among themselves and do not interact with the kids at all. No activities for them but to sit on a dirty floor and watch TV. One daycare I went to the lady read a Harlequin Romance instead of watching the kids. The object is to get as many members binded to a contract as possible and who knows what happens to them after that. I recommend a club that does not make you sign a contract. This tells me they are secure with the club and care about their members as well as being confident that you will want to stay. I do not recommend LOA to anyone. Best of luck!!!!
