I have been going to a
Lady of America Club in Arvada, Colorado for the last few years and loved it. It felt like a
home away from home. The management was responsive to my individual needs (the members were actually asked what classes they wanted and what hours worked best for them) it was great. However the same can not be said for their corporate offices, who out of the blue stopoed paying the rent and forced the club to close. Now its
memebers and its owners are without a club and its corporate is still trying to collect the dues. Can anyone say con-artists.

I read a few more of the posts. I think it depends on the management. Mgt. changed hands where I go and the staff is now like a bunch of fascists. A guy wnow owns the franchise. Guys aren't even allowed in the place. How does he know what's going on?

I work for LOA as an instructor. They OWE me money. I am about to file a complaint with the state employment commission. I probably still won't be paid but I hope to tie up their resources for a while.

I actually owned an LOA from 2000-2005 and each franchise owner paid their own lease payments... Was this a corporate owned center?

After reading other consumer's complaints about LOA and other clubs I am going to also send a certifed letter regarding my cancelled membership including the name and time of the person I spoke too just to verify my cancellation. I will post again if I have problems. Again I urge everyone to STOP payment to these people.

I too am a longtime member of LOA.
I called the LOA in Littleton, CO. The owner/manager said T. is the sole owner of LOA. There are no other owners who stopped paying rent. Arvada LOA did not have enough members to pay their bills.T. should have been more honest with her clients. I contacted member services. The financial info. is on the LOA page. I did have to try twice and wait a bit but I got through to a very helpful rep. who said all memberships were cancelled. I got his name and made it clear I want my membership cancelled. Their is a gym at 42nd Kipling that is honoring LOA memberships. I did stop payment at the bank. This needs to be done in person at your home branch. No problems at all. Hope this helps others. T. is a very nice women but she new what was happening for a while. Again no others are involed except for T. the sole owner of LOA.
